I take an integrative approach to skin care and focus on whole body care. Our skin is the largest organ. It communicates with the nervous system and filters out what we put on it and what we put in our body. It’s important to maintain the integrity of the skin barrier, therefore I don’t do harsh treatments and gradually work with my clients up to more advanced treatments. Advanced treatments without proper preparation can create sensitized skin and and break down the functioning and health of the skin. As a Licensed Skin Therapist I have found that stress and lifestyle can cause imbalances that lay unseen within the underlying tissues of the skin and body.

I request that first time clients book either a Virtual Consultation or In Person Consultation. This appointment gives me time to go over the client intake form as well as chat with you more about your skin care and health goals. This information helps me curate the most beneficial treatment for you as well as gives me insight into your lifestyle which then helps me recommend the right products.

This 30 minute virtual consultation is designed to help establish a treatment plan with a tailored home care routine with usage guidance and ongoing check-ins to help you stay consistent and supported throughout your skincare journey. Anika will review your skin type, current routine, goals, and map out a customized plan that suits your lifestyle. If you're frustrated with your skin and have tried everything, let's get you on the path towards your best skin.

Your skin is unique and so is the care it deserves. If you're not sure where to start, we've got you. At Shanti Skincare, every great result begins with truly getting to know you. All new in-person clients begin their journey with a consultation and treatment before booking any additional services. During your consultation, Anika will get to know your skin, your concerns, and your goals, and create a personalized treatment plan with the in-studio services she recommends to get you there.

Before your visit, you'll complete our intake form so we can hit the ground running. For clients who haven't visited in over a year, we ask that you book a consultation before rebooking so Anika can reassess and adjust your plan accordingly. At Shanti Skincare, we believe great skin is built on an ongoing partnership, both in the treatment room and at home. Anika will curate a personalized homecare routine alongside your in-studio treatments, with every product and service chosen with intention and backed by results. The goal is simple: your healthiest, most radiant skin yet.

Modalities for Custom Facial

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a sterile surgical blade to gently exfoliate and remove the fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) and dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. This process helps to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion and allows skincare products to penetrate more effectively. Dermaplaning is known for its immediate results and is often sought for its ability to create a soft and radiant skin texture. Not suited for those who have active, inflamed acne or very sensitive skin.

Superficial Chemical Peel

Superficial chemical peels help to address acne, congestion, hyperpigmentation, and signs of aging with out requiring a lot of downtime. Your peel will be selected based upon your skin's specific needs. Not suited for those who are pregnant, nursing, have open wounds, have sensitive skin (ex: Rosacea, Eczema, Hay Fever), or have had recent sun exposure.

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

This powerful treatment uses 13% Aminolevulinic Acid (ALA) and Blue LED Light Therapy to target moderate to severe acne, rosacea, actinic keratosis, and other skin concerns. ALA is a photosensitizing agent that, when activated by blue light, helps eliminate bacteria and damaged skin cells, promoting clearer and healthier skin.

LED Light Therapy

LED light therapy is a non-invasive, pain-free treatment for skin concerns like acne, hyperpigmentation, and signs of aging. A full treatment of LED Light Therapy is 20 mins under the LED Panel. Contraindications include pregnancy, epilepsy, recent Botox or filler, diseases involving the eyes, those who are prone to migraines, and those who are sensitive to light.

Hydrodermabrasion "Hydro Facial"

Hydrodermabrasion is the latest buzz in skincare. It combines the natural benefits of oxygen and water to shoot a pressurized stream of solution onto the skin. The high velocity of this procedure effectively removes dead skin cells at first contact, gently exfoliating while also infusing beneficial serums into the skin. Suction is also used for gentle extractions and the removal of impurities in the skin. The solution that is infused is customized for your skin's specific needs.

Sculpt & Glow

Using Microcurrent and Nanocurrent technology which helps to stimulate the muscles of the face and neck to tone and sculpt your skin, along with address signs of aging - this add-on is perfect before a special event as no downtime is required! Please do not book if you have/experience metal implants (ex: a pacemaker), diabetes, pregnancy, epilepsy, or open wounds in the skin.

Nano Infusion

Nano Infusion creates micro-channels in the skin to allow for better product absorption.  Minimal downtime is required. Addresses concerns such as congestion, hydration, brightening, and signs of aging. This cannot be done on inflamed acne, rosacea, or eczema prone skin.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)

EMS for the face, tones muscles, reduces wrinkles, and boosts circulation. EMS can be likened to a workout for facial muscles. Just as exercise strengthens and tones muscles in the body, EMS stimulates and tones facial muscles, resulting in improved muscle tone, firmness, and overall appearance. With regular use, it promotes firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin. Not suited for those who are pregnant, have metal implants, or experience seizures and/or epilepsy.

ProCell Microchanneling

MicroChanneling is known as micro-needling evolved. It works by creating channels in your skin to promote collagen production as they heal. This helps boost your skins elasticity, can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles along with scarring, and over time creates a smoother, revitalized complexion. This treatment includes the use of Growth Factor serums, which are shown to promote healing with minimal inflammation while enhancing the overall treatment.

Smoothing Body Peel

Smoothing Body Peel is a two-step treatment, specifically for the skin on the body, formulated with a potent yet skin-friendly blend of TCA, Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid as well as Arbutin and Kojic Acid to improve and enhance the skin’s appearance. Mild-Moderate Flaking may occur.

DMK Enzyme Therapy

Enzyme Therapy Levels 1, 2, 3

Enzyme Therapy Level 1 is DMK's revitalizing skin treatment that uses specialized enzymes to exfoliate and improve skin health. With its formula designed to target concerns such as acne, pigmentation, and aging, this treatment stimulate cellular activity, enhances circulation, and boosts collagen production for a smoother and more even skin texture. Contraindications include those who are pregnant, claustrophobic, or allergic to eggs. We also have DMK Enzyme Therapy Level 2 & 3 available.
